Each year, more players enjoy tchoukball and develop it
in their own countries. Today, tchoukball can be played
on different surfaces (indoor, grass, sand) by people with
different skills and physical abilities (beginners, advanced
players, juniors, adults, elderly people), and in different
kind of environments (competition, training, leisure).
Despite of the efforts of tchoukball's creator, Dr Brandt,
to make a non-contact sport adapted to the human physiology,
injuries may happen. Most injuries are unintentional ones,
and some players get injured without any contact; for example
after jumping or whilst catching a ball. However, no information
is yet available concerning these injuries. The FITB's Technical
Commission has launched a injury reporting system, where
anyone in the world from any country may send the FITB information
concerning injuries.
Below are 2 documents. The first is the official covering
letter explaining the system further. You will require Adobe
Acrobat Reader to view this document. To download Acrobat
Reader click
here.
Once Acrobat Reader is downloaded, or if you already have
it, click
here for the certification programme.
The second document is in Microsoft Excel, and you may
use this document to write the details of the injury. Click
here to download it. (The FITB will only accept injury
reports that are posted or faxed to the Technical Commission).
If you have any questions regarding the certification programme,
please contact the Director of the FITB Technical Commission,
Michel Thomann at michel.thomann@tchoukball.org
